Step Eight – Addressing the worries you can influence

Please read through the step below or watch the video in full. When you’re done, click “Mark Step Complete” and then click “Next Step”

For the worries that have a “Y” in the influenceable column (and these should be all you have left as the “Ns” should have been disposed of as you can’t do anything about them) write down five actions you can take to mitigate the outcome of each remaining worry.

Now put these actions in the order in which you wish to carry them out. Some people choose easiest first and some people choose most effective first. It’s really up to you so long as you then do the most important step: Put the actions in your calendar and commit to carrying them out.

Remember, you have now either consigned your worries to history with an N in step seven, or you have a plan to mitigate the chances of your worry occurring in step eight. At no point is there a place for worrying now, as all it will do is put you in an early grave.

It is so important I’ll say it again: consign each worry to history or deal with it.

Now you can repeat the process on your next top five worries. And if you keep going, you eventually will know that you don’t need to worry anymore. Your issues are either consigned to history, or you are working your plan.
